An old favorite made many years ago by Mulford Foster. Reported to be a cross of distichantha v. schlumbergeri x weilbachii f. leodiensis, there remains some doubt. A fairly large plant with an upright rosette shape with narrow, channeled, stiff, pointed leaves. The leaves are glossy, dark, burgundy color below and greenish above. The inflorescence has white and purple berries. A good landscape plant that shows excellent cold tolerance.
