Large growing to 16 inches across. Glossy burgundy green with light scurfing. A rosette of broadly triangular leaves that taper to a sharp point. Marginal spines are stout and pronounced. Brows best in bright light to full sun.

 A named cultivar of Dyckia dawsonii x marnier-lapostollei 'Pink Spines' by Bryan Windham. Recurving silver green leaves with with a light pink veneer and pink spines. The rosette has narrow recurving leaves. Mature size is 8 to 10 inches across. Grows best in strong bright light but not all day full sun.

Seed grown plants of this back cross of Mercury, tends to have fairly narrow leaves with large spines, giving a scalloped appearance to the leaf margins. Dark bronzy to brown base color with silver scurf.

Dyckia 'Metal Stripes' is a hybrid from Japan. It has dark grey leaves that glossy on top and scurfy underneath. The glossy leaves top have silver stripes. Grows to 12 inches across.
