This is a clone of the Sincorea burlemarxii (formerly Orthophytum burle-marxii) from the vicinity of Mucugee, in the Chapada Diamantina of Bahia, Brazil. This plant was singularly bright yellow with only the slightest tint of red when blooming when we found it in the wild state as can be seen in the habitat photo attached. Some seed was collected from a bloomed out plant of the same clone and our plants are descendants from those seed. In cultivation it takes on a bit more red but still has a distinct yellow center at anthesis. A choice novelty.
