The foliage is green, with a 'thumb-print' or indented area near the base of each leaf. The inflorescence is vivid, with red bracts and violet-tipped red flowers on a short scape. Makes an attractive clump due to its stoloniferous habit. Very easy to cultivate in warm, partially shaded locations.
