This small shiny-leaved Cryptanthus matures to a rosette of 15cms in diameter. The mid-green foliage with creamy-yellow variegation is often marginated. Although named as a species, Harry Luther examined this cultivar in 1989, and said that it appeared to be of hybrid origin. This plant was introduced into cultivation from Japan back in the 1970's.
