A stunning but viciously armed beauty. A variegated form of the species pinguin that has a wide range from Mexico and the Caribbean to Northern South America, but it is unknown where exactly the variegated sport came from. Bold creamy-white variegation that may tint slightly reddish in full sun and heavy backward recurving teeth make this a stunning plant for landscape or any area where it can be given a wide berth. Growing to nearly 4 feet across, it needs a large container to reach its potential. The inflorescence is showy, with a brightly colored panicle of flowers, which become berry-like fruits.
