This beauty is Ray Coleman’s cultivar of (‘Cold Fusion’ x kautskyana). A compact grower to about 16 inches tall and 6 inches across in an upright, tubular rosette of 3 inch wide leaves. The leaves have have a thick substance and quarter-inch long, black spines on the margins. The leaves are green but blush a dull copper tone with white spots and blotches when grown hard in strong light. Does best in high light. The inflorescence has bright red bracts dusted with silver scurf, flowers are deep blue.
