Aechmea winkleri This rarely seen Brazilian plant is new on the collector scene. A fairly compact plant, about 12in tall or so, with green leaves in an upright rosette, that forms an attractive clusters with abundant offsets.
The inflorescence is a panicle of orange, with blue flowers. After flowering, the inflorescence becomes a brighter orange and persists for some months.
