I bought one of these years ago from Tropiflora. It can take a drought and keep on going. I love going to their nursery and looking at there beautiful plants.
I was disappointed that the plant was so small... by the time I paid taxes and shipping it was about 22$.
And it was just a tiny little plant. It's hard to tell size from your photos but I did think it was going to be bigger.Marla Kletter

“Iron ore” is large, twisty and full of barbs. Yes, he’s gnarly, but he is also a very handsome specimen. I like that he came potted. Can’t wait for the inflorescence! Another great Orthophytum from Tropiflora

Dean is a beast, have this thing in the median strip. Absolute unrelenting full Florida sun 24/7. A little bleached out but not bad. The slightest hint of shade and the colors would come out more.
