A variegated sport of this large growing, cliff dwelling species from Bolivia and Argentina. Easily growing to three feet across in a leafy rosette of strap-like, green leaves of up to 3hree inches across. Wild plants tend to be somewhat glaucous, with a powdery coating on the leaves. Growing high on cliffs, their inflorescences are pendant, bearing many branches and pink bracts. Flowers are quite large, tubular, flaring and deep purple. The plant is propagated from seed or adventitious offsets. In cultivation, the plant does well potted in a well-draining mix.
