A tall and slender species with leaves up to 30 inches tall, about 3/4 inch thick at the base and tapering to a pointed, withered tip. The leaves are round in cross section with a deep channel running from bottom to top.
Rough texture, dull green, with lighter green cross-banding, the leaves may also have a slight wave or 'kink' to them. Needs strong light to take on it's best form. Native to eastern South Africa and the Comoro Islands.
