A Racinaea hybrid recently created by Jeffrey Kent is a spectacular cross of Racinaea spiculosa x dyeriana. Keep in mind that until just recently, R. dyeriana was a Tillandsia. The plant grows to about a foot tall or a little more in an upright rosette shape, typical of the R. spiculosa parent. The leaves are solid green.
The inflorescence is larger than that of either of the parents. It is erect with long, bright orange branches that are pendant.
