If you like unusual… This species from Madagascar is nice looking and grows quite large under good conditions, easily reaching several feet tall. The 4 inch thickly succulent green leaves are about four inches long, triangular in shape with scalloped margins and are felt-like, coated with silvery ‘hairs’. The most unusual aspect is that the leaves are covered with tooth-like pointed tubercles on the underside, hence the cultivar name, ‘Fang’. Grows best with the most color in full sun where the leaves will take on a golden tint. It will grow well in partial sun to bright shade as well. Suited for landscape use in frost free zones.
