A fascinating and unusual form of Huperzia (formerly Lycopodium) from Peninsula Malaysia. (Blume) Chambers, Jermy & Crabbe(1971). The entire range includes parts of Thailand as well as Sumatra and Java. A very branchy, full growing form with unusually wide, oval leaves that are adpressed or flattened to the stem, giving a rope-like appearance. Viewed from the side, the stems appear extremely thin. This species thrives in high humidity and enjoys a moist but well drained media. Growing epiphytically is the ‘natural’ way but it will also thrive in a hanging pot or basket. Can reach well over three feet long in cascading clusters. A very handsome form that is rare in cultivation.
