This nice little Dyckia hybrid is not yet registered, but we are told is a cultivar of (dawsonii x ‘Arizona’) by Bill Baker, named by Steven Hoppin via Patterson. Sharing the narrow leaves and large spines of the dawsonii parent, it forms a loose rosette of recurving leaves about 8 inches across. The foliage color is burgundy with light silver scurffing mainly towards the center of the rosette. The leaves are flanked with prominent white spines, no doubt influenced by the ‘Arizona’ parent. This is a very nice, colorful, smaller Dyckia.
