From Itampolo, Madagascar comes this unusual succulent. One of the dimorphic ceropegias, the stems of this species are four-sided with rough, grey (hence the name) almost lizard-like leaves staggered on opposing sides of the stem. When the plant is ready to bloom the stems elongate into a thin vine and bulbous, purple-splotched green and white flowers appear at the base. A very interesting species named after Simone Petignat who discovered this peculiar gem.
