Eight to ten inch, upright, gray, needle-like leaves, and an attractive inflorescence of pink with purple flowers. This Florida native is common in dark, moist woods from central to northern Florida and even into extreme southern Georgia. The plants form dense, ball-like clusters with dozens of plants, and when it blooms are quite striking. Considered a natural hybrid swarm, very cold hardy.
