A favorite amongst plant collectors and terrarium enthusiasts alike, this species has a range throughout South America from Ecuador to Brazil. This particular clone comes from Venezuela and is, for the most part, identical to the other clones but does have a different leaf pattern than other clones in circulation. Cultivation is identical with the other types as it appreciates good moisture, warmth, humidity and shade. As a terrarium plant, it scrambles about the floor, creating a nice patterned mat of round foliage. As can been seen in the photos, Peperomia prostrata does well mounted to cork with moss but does equally well in soil.
VIPP plants are in 4-inch pots - NOT mounted like the picture!
