A native of Brazil, but has been in cultivation here and in Europe for many years. An attractive and easy to grow small plant, with nice even green leaves and a star-shaped inflorescence rising above the foliage with wide bracts of yellow. Makes stolons 4 to 6 inches long and looks great in a small hanging basket. Medium to lower light conditions are suitable. Good in terrariums.
