Ananas comosus ‘Natal Queen’
One of only a few commercial grade
pineapples. This is a spiny variety that has an orange blush in full sun
and produces a 2 pound sweet fruit with yellow flesh. We have one gallon
plants, originally from the collection of Dale Jenkins, Sarasota’s
Pineapple King. Some may produce fruit next year.

Deuterocohnia aff. lorentziana
An outstanding form we collected in Bolivia.
Individually smaller than the typical form, mature at about the size of
a quarter, with thickly succulent, triangular, very silvery leaves,

Orthophytum horridum
This new species has thick red-burgundy
foliage with heavy scurfing on the underside, turning cherry red in

Ursulaea tuitensis
Truly an oddity, was once an
Aechmea,
the large swollen ovaries and deep purple petals are
Billbergia-like.
The leaves are very succulent, blushing red in bright light. A
lithophyte in nature, surviving in a very arid environment, the 'tank'
holds little or no water. The erect inflorescence is tomentose, covered
with white scurf and has showy pink bracts. It grows to about 24in under
